Can I apply to UX Academy if I’ve only taken Design 101?

Since the launch of our new UX Academy prerequisite course, UX Academy Foundations, the standard of work from students applying to UX Academy has continued to improve.

To ensure that all students are set up for success in UX Academy, and that we are supporting them with a well-rounded foundation in visual and UI design, Design 101 project work will only be valid in UX Academy applications up to and including the June 2021 cohort.

From the July 2021 cohort onwards, all students without prior design experience will need to take UXA Foundations, regardless of whether they’ve previously taken Design 101.

Individuals who end up taking both Design 101 and UXA Foundations will receive a total credit of $650 towards their UX Academy tuition ($500 for Foundations + $150 for Design 101). If you’d like to use your Design 101 work to apply to the Apr 19th, May 24th, or June 21st cohort of UX Academy, you can do so here.
